Copywriting

Words that sell

Good copy is not about grammar. It is about whether the customer buys, clicks or calls after reading it. We write content for websites, ads and social media. The kind that works.

The same business, two versions of the opening line.

87 words · you still don't know what the company does

What should be there

We make custom kitchens for old Bratislava apartments, where no wall sits at a right angle.

16 words · you know what we do and who for

The first one could be pasted onto any company. The second one fits nowhere else.

This is not styling, it is a change of angle. The left version talks about the company, the right one about the customer. That is why copy cannot be written without knowing who you sell to and what that person actually needs from you. We ask before we start writing.

And when better copy will not help you. When the offer itself is unclear, no wording can save it. In that case you first need to settle what you sell and to whom. How to build a whole page on these principles is covered in the article A landing page that converts, what a company website should contain in A website for a small business, and systematic content in Content marketing for small businesses.

Six formats. Each one plays by different rules.

Instead of a list of services, below are the texts themselves. All of them for one company, a cabinetmaker from Bratislava, so you can see how the same thing is said in six different formats.

  1. 01

    Website copy

Home page, About, services, contact. Each page has one goal.

A kitchen for an apartment where no wall sits at a right angle.

We measure to the centimeter, design and install. You get the first design within ten days.

  2. 02

    Ad copy

Headlines, descriptions, CTA buttons. Copy that stops the scroll.

    Posts and captions

Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook. In your brand's tone, with hashtags or without.

An apartment on Palisády, built in 1931. Not one right angle. We measured the kitchen to the centimeter and built the cabinets to fit the crooked wall exactly. You cannot see it in the photo, and that is exactly the point. #customkitchens #cabinetmaking #bratislava #oldapartment #custominteriors

  4. 04

    Email sequences

Welcome emails, nurturing, promo campaigns. The subject line decides whether anyone opens it.

Three layout options and a rough price. Write back and tell us which one is closest to what you had in mind.

  5. 05

    Product descriptions

For online stores. A description that leaves no follow-up questions.

Oak veneer, milled handles, a carcass built to fit the crooked wall. Installed within three days, with no demolition and no trim strips to cover the gaps.

    Blog and SEO content

Articles that bring organic traffic from Google.

How to choose a kitchen for an old apartment: 7 things to measure

Crooked walls, low ceilings, old wiring and pipes. An overview of what to measure before you pick the doors and the appliances.

The fact that people scan text on the web rather than read it is documented in research by the Nielsen Norman Group.

Why every word is there

A short paragraph for the same company, taken apart sentence by sentence. This is not styling, every decision can be explained.

Your apartment has crooked walls. We measure them to the centimeter and build the kitchen to fit them exactly, with no demolition and no trim strips to hide the gaps. You get the first design within ten days. Send us the dimensions and we will get back to you the same day.

  • “Your apartment has crooked walls.”

The first sentence is about the customer, not about the company. We do not open with who we are and how long we have been on the market.

  • “no demolition and no trim strips”

We name a specific worry, not an abstract quality. People are not afraid of the material, they are afraid of the mess and of gaps being covered up.

  • “within ten days”

A number instead of an adjective. Everyone pictures “fast” differently, everyone pictures ten days the same way.

  • “we will get back to you the same day”

The call to action says what to do and what happens next. “Contact us” says neither.

What it costs

One project, or someone who writes for you continuously.

These are not two levels of quality, but two different ways of working together. The same person writes the copy the same way in both cases, the only difference is whether it is a closed delivery or ongoing work.

One-off project

179 €

A closed scope with a clear end: a set of website copy, a series of articles, product descriptions or campaign copy.

A good fit when you are launching a website or running one specific campaign.

Ongoing partnership

99 € / mo

Writing as you need it, with no lock-in: website copy, social media captions, email sequences and articles.

A good fit when you need content all the time and do not want to arrange a new order every time.

Applies to both routes

Revisions are part of the process, not an extra charge. We go through the copy until it fits, and that is included in the price.

Copywriting is the words. If you need visuals to go with them, that is content creation, and if you also want the content published and managed regularly, that is social media management. You will find an overview of all the services in the price list.

Questions we get before anyone signs

Copywriting from us means copy for websites, ads, social media, emails, the blog and product descriptions. We write it only after we go through who you sell to and what that person needs from you. Revisions are part of the process, not an extra charge. A one-time project from 179 €, ongoing work from 99 € a month with no lock-in.

Copywriting is the copy itself. We also write email sequences and post captions, but we do not set them up or publish them. If you want visuals too, that is content creation, and if you want the whole profile including publishing, that is social media management.

Why not write the copy myself?

You can, and sometimes that is the best option. The problem is usually that you know too much about your own business. You use terms your customer does not know, and you skip the things that feel obvious to you and are decisive for them.

Our advantage is not that we write more beautifully. It is that we ask the questions you stopped asking long ago.

What do we need from you before we start?

Two things: who you sell to and what that person actually needs from you. Not a list of features, but the reason someone picks you and not the other company.

The rest we can look up. This we cannot.

How do I know the copy is working?

By how many people get in touch, not by how it feels. Copy does not change the number of visitors, that is the job of SEO. It changes the share of them who write or call after reading.

That is why it makes sense to measure one specific page before and after, not the total traffic of the website.
